This assessment report compiles evidence on the extent to which women are both important clients and valuable employees for agribusinesses. Key findings are presented, which primarily suggest that while there is an increasing acceptance and opportunity for women to participate in economic activities, they remain constrained by gender roles and norms. The report then outlines a series of recommendations, which, along with its findings, aim to inform future programmes with a similar scope and contribute towards further incentivising agribusinesses to invest in women.
