Throughout Ghana, it is generally accepted that women produce crops efficiently. In this case study, MADE produces evidence for this claim by providing data that shows how, when given equal access to improved productive inputs and resources, women are more effective than men in rice production. It outlines the constraints faced by women out-growers and aims to demonstrate the commercial value of using certified seeds, good agronomic practices (GAP) and improved inputs.
