This report presents the findings of field research commissioned by MADE and carried out by the Zambian Conservation Farming Unit (CFU) to verify the extent of conservation farming uptake in northern Ghana. The report presents the key findings from interviews with farmers, agribusinesses and government extension workers; the advantages of conservation farming practices; and a review of the challenges and opportunities for conservation farming in Northern Ghana. It is hoped that the findings and recommendations from the study will aid future conservation farming efforts and interventions by donor-funded programmes.
